About Us

West Indies Petroleum Terminal Limited (WIPT) is a leading fuel storage and distribution facility in Jamaica.  Founded in 2006, we’ve grown to become a crucial part of the Caribbean’s energy infrastructure, having rapidly established ourselves as a vital hub for petroleum product storage and distribution.

Our state-of-the-art terminal at Port Esquivel, St. Catherine, is strategically located to serve Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region.  As a subsidiary of West Indies Petroleum Limited, we’re part of a vertically integrated network that encompasses fuel import, storage, distribution, and bunkering services.

WIPT’s combined fuel storage capacity of over 700,000 barrels between its Port Esquivel (St. Catherine) and Ocho Rios (St. Ann) locations make it the second largest facility in the island.  The company generates revenue from storage and throughput fees charged on the distribution of fuel to end-users in various industries, including shipping, fuel retailers, and manufacturers.
